Have you ever heard your parents or friends tell you “if you walk in front of a car then you going to get run over”? As simple as that sounds people still get run over and killed by cars every day. How could that be if they know they are taking their lives into their hands by stepping in front of a moving vehicle? Sometimes even though people know better they still do things that can injure or kill them. The same goes for not wearing your seatbelt. Even though we know seatbelts save lives some people still refuse to wear them and when they have an accident they are thrown through the windshield and killed.

This concept goes for other aspects of your life as well. If a physician tells you that you are obese and must lose weight or you will die, what will you do? Even though it sounds like common sense to lose the weight people still die every day from obesity. The same goes for smoking. Even though most people that smoke knows smoking causes cancer and cancer will kill you, they still do not stop smoking. There are many advancements and means to help people stop smoking but yet they still take their lives into their own hands and continue to smoke. It just does not make sense, so you have to ask yourself “how much do you value your life and what do you need to do to lengthen it?”
